Our next feature brings us closer to home. David Choe from Los Angeles California is a well known graffiti artist, muralist & painter. He grew up around the era of the artist Mear one & Hex as a kid. In 1990 Choe became inspired by all of the expressive art and graffiti that LA has become home to. He started hitting up walls, benches and back alleys whenever he had the chance. After the riots in 1992, Choe took a step outside of the LA world and began traveling and hustling his way around the globe. As he made his way back to LA he enrolled in Art school in Oakland California only to drop out 2 years later. With hard work practice & incredible skill Choe had major opportunities arise for him. Soon enough his work was in exhibitions, streets & album artwork everywhere. You might have seen Choe’s work on the album cover of Jay-Z & Linkin Parks “Collision Course” & even on the sets on Juno. His recognition has landed him opportunities to create murals for Facebook founder Zuckerburg & his artwork hangs in our nations President Obama’s home. Rather extensive resume isn’t it? If you’re feeling the urban “dirty style” in art then you’ll appreciate the work Choe has to offer. Check out more of Choe’s artwork and life HERE

Living Legends, Dipset (Cam’ron + Jim Jones + Juelz Santana + Freeky Zekey), Hieroglyphics, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Quik, Psycho Realm and Dilated Peoples Added To Line-Up; More To Be Announced
HEADLINERS : WU TANG CLAN & ODD FUTURE.
In a few months Hip Hop heads all over Southern California are coming together in the Inland Empire for support of their favorite indie hip hop artist. Some big names were added to this lineup as well. For instance ODD Future will be headlining along side The Wu. Many devoted underground/indie heads are not too happy about this. ODD is seen as too mainstream for this festival in the eyes of the Hiphop fans Guerilla Union attracts. MURS wants his devoted hiphop fans of underground/indie to welcome the ODD fans and “show” them what they think ‘Real” hip hop is. More names are to be released to complete this lineup. Question is who will be “indie” enough to perform? Who would you like to see?

“B**** you wasn’t wit me shootin’ in the GYM!” Stay Schemin’ [Drake Diss] – Common by Warhol2011
SHOTS FIRED!
For awhile there has been some buzzin’ going around about this Drake & Common situation. Speculation about Commons song “Sweet” which was supposed to be shot at Drake and his “Hoe a**” had the hiphop world in a buzz. But with this new DRAKE DISS over Rick Ross’s “Stay Schemin’” it is official there is some friction between the two. How is it made official you ask? Common makes sure to call out Drake at the end of this remix. “Soft N****, Make no mistake i’m talking to Drake.”
But is this healthy beef? Or like a few people are discussing, is it a way to stay relevant for Common? Some are saying Drake’s career would be in jeopardy starting a beef with Common. Others are saying Common is trying to keep up in the Hiphop world by going along with this feud. Hmm…Let’s see how far this goes. Team Common Sense or Team Drizzy Drake?
